We're a home-goods studio based in Industry City, Sunset Park, Brooklyn. We design and sell decorative pillows. We're looking to bring on one contractor for sewing production and quality control. Applicant must have advanced sewing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Cut and sew fabric and zippers used to make decorative pillow covers
- Construct pillow covers using industrial straight stitch and overlock sewing machines
- Perform quality control checks on finished pieces prior to packing
Requirements:
- Must have Advanced sewing skills. Must be comfortable operating an industrial straight stitch machine
- Strong attention to detail and dependable attendance
- Experience in a fast-paced production environment preferred
Pay & Logistics:
- Pay: $20 hour
- Payment by check or electronic transfer only. No cash
- Part-time, 3 days per week, 8 hours per day
- Must be eligible to work in US. 1099 will be issued at end of year.
