Love dogs, storytelling, and capturing great moments?
I’m Steve Brady, host of Brooklyn Castle, a YouTube series exploring Brooklyn’s neighborhoods, people, and places. I’m hiring someone to help film The Great PUPkin dog costume contest at Fort Greene Park.
WHEN: Saturday, October 24, 2026
TIME: 11 a.m.–2 p.m. — must be available for the full three hours
WHERE: Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn
PAY: $120 total for the three-hour shoot
You’ll operate the camera while I host and interview attendees, capturing:
• Short interviews with dog owners
• Memorable costumes and funny moments
• Crowd reactions and footage of the park
• Host segments for the YouTube episode and social media clips
I’ll provide an iPhone 17, tripod/handheld support, and DJI wireless microphones. No professional camera required. No editing required.
You should have a good eye for framing, experience filming with an iPhone, and confidence keeping shots steady and checking audio in a busy outdoor setting. Familiarity with wireless microphones is a plus.
Film students and emerging content creators with relevant examples are welcome.
To apply, please reply with:
• Your name and confirmation you’re available from 11–2
• One or two examples of video you personally filmed
• A brief description of your iPhone filming and audio experience
• Confirmation that the $120 total works for you
I’ll share two Brooklyn Castle episodes beforehand so you can get a feel for the series.
Come help capture a fun Fort Greene tradition!
