Location: Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11234
GenZ Facility Solutions is seeking reliable cleaners or a small cleaning team for a funeral home. This is an on-call opportunity, with cleaning requested whenever a funeral service takes place. There is no fixed weekly schedule or guaranteed number of visits.
Cleaning responsibilities:
Entrance and lobby: Clean entry mats, entrance glass, door handles, and reception surfaces.
Chapel and viewing rooms: Vacuum carpets under and between seating, straighten seating, and remove floral debris and petals.
Arrangement and family rooms: Wipe tables, chairs, and surfaces; vacuum or mop floors.
Restrooms: Clean and sanitize toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, mirrors, and floors.
Office and break area: Wipe counters, tables, and appliance exteriors; clean floors.
Dusting: Dust reachable surfaces, pews, lecterns, ledges, windowsills, frames, and light switches; remove cobwebs.
Floors: Vacuum carpets and sweep and damp-mop hard floors.
Trash: Empty trash and recycling, replace liners, and place bagged waste in designated containers.
Front exterior: Sweep the front entrance and sidewalk immediately in front of the property, pick up litter and debris, and keep the entrance clean and presentable.
Final walkthrough: Check completed work and report maintenance concerns.
Preparation and embalming rooms, biohazard cleanup, and bodily-fluid cleanup are excluded.
Requirements:
Experience with commercial cleaning.
Reliable transportation and dependable communication.
Ability to bring your own commercial vacuum, cleaning equipment, and chemicals.
Flexibility for weekday, evening, or weekend requests.
Professional, respectful, and discreet conduct in a funeral home setting.
Visits will be coordinated around funeral services and viewings. We aim to provide 24 hours’ notice, although shorter-notice requests may arise depending on availability.
