Bijan’s Brooklyn is looking for an experienced Server/Bartender to join our team for up to 2 shifts per week.
We are a busy neighborhood restaurant and cocktail bar located at 81 Hoyt Street in Downtown Brooklyn/Boerum Hill. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, professional, and comfortable handling both serving and bartending responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
This is a part-time position currently offering approximately 1–2 shifts per week. Please apply only if this schedule works for you.
Responsibilities
Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive service
Present menus and answer questions about food and drinks
Take food and beverage orders accurately
Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and other beverages
Serve food and drinks efficiently
Make recommendations when appropriate
Set, clean, and reset tables
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining and bar areas
Work closely with kitchen, bar, and other front-of-house staff
Handle guest concerns professionally
Process checks and accept payments
Follow NYC food safety and sanitation standards
Requirements
Previous restaurant serving experience required
Previous bartending experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working both the floor and bar
Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and basic bar service
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
Reliable, punctual, responsible, and trustworthy
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable being on your feet for an entire shift
Valid NYC Food Protection Certificate required
Typical Shifts
Lunch: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Dinner: 4:30 PM – approximately 12:00 AM
Schedule: Approximately 1–2 shifts per week
