Was my grandmother’s, possibly even her mothers. Depression glass piece appears to be a Goldish Topaz gilt tint trimmed oblong / oval vegetable, relish, celery or pickle dish. It has a 1920s- 30s era textured rope- or cord-trimmed rim design.
How this piece looks, even portions of the piece look, depend on how light hits it at any given time.
Taking photos, my apartment’s lighting is peculiar and uncooperative. There are no missing or discolored areas of trim, gilt, design, etc., etc. Where that seems to be a possibility, it’s a matter of lighting, reflection. If you look at all the photos you’ll see there are no discolorations & this piece is in really good condition.
There’s some scratches in the glass, but condition is still rather great. It’s a really cool and unique piece, rare.
