This is for two books for The 13th Age tabletop role playing game. Some TTRPGs are quite experimental in design or setting but The 13th Age is very close to Dungeons and Dragons: Class-by Level character creation, D20 based resolution and a high fantasy setting.
The big difference is The 13th Age is a bit more concentrated and accelerated. Where D&D level one is fairly low powered Level 1 in The 13th Age's Level 1 characters are already established and start with connections, allied or in opposition to, some of the "13 Icons" who control history: The Lich King, The Emperor, The Archmage, The Golden Dragon, The High Druid and more. They also gain power very quickly as they advance in level.
There is also a "peril die" system that makes sure that combat gets more decisive every round so it does not drag on too long.
There's also a decently fleshed out setting and utility rules, all in the first book.
The Second book is the Glorantha setting book, adapting the long, loooong established setting to The 13th Age rules set. Starting in 1970's board games and later adapted to the Runequest TTRPG and several books and video games, this setting has lore for days to run straight from the book or pick-and-choose to elevate your homebrew settings.

Both books are large format hardcovers with bookmark ribbons in very good shape. They require some paper, pencils, RPG dice and a couple of friends to play. (not included)
