We are seeking a reliable, proactive Building Superintendent to manage the daily operations, cleanliness, and maintenance of 2 residential buildings in the Melrose area.
This is a hands-on role perfect for a skilled handyman who enjoys working independently and takes pride in keeping properties safe and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
• Janitorial Duties: Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all common areas,
including hallways, lobbies, Manage garbage and recycling disposal.
•Grounds Upkeep: Ensure building entrances and sidewalks are clear of debris or
snow/ice. Perform basic seasonal landscaping.
• Maintenance & Repairs: Perform plumbing (leaky faucets, toilet repairs, frozen pipes)
electrical (light fixtures, outlets), and carpentry tasks as needed
• Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact for tenant maintenance
emergencies (plumbing leaks, lockouts, etc.) At all times.
• Reporting: Regularly inspect buildings to identify potential issues and provide status
updates to the property manager.
Qualifications:
•3-5+ years of experience in building maintenance or a related trade,
Broad "handyman" skill set with professional knowledge of building systems.
