Busy hardware and maintenance-supply store is looking for a responsible, experienced full-time employee to join our team.
We are looking for someone with hands-on knowledge and experience in hardware and plumbing supplies who can confidently assist customers, identify parts, and help customers find the right products for their needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist customers at the counter and help them find the correct products
* Identify hardware, plumbing parts, fittings, tools, and maintenance supplies
* Answer customer questions and provide knowledgeable product assistance
* Handle emails, phone calls, and general office work
* Prepare and place purchase orders with suppliers
* Receive and organize orders and help maintain stock
* Help with day-to-day operations of a busy hardware store
REQUIRED:
Previous experience in a hardware store, plumbing-supply store, building-supply store, or similar position is strongly preferred.
Must have a strong working knowledge of:
* Plumbing supplies, fittings, valves, pipes, connectors, etc.
* Hardware, fasteners, tools, and building materials
* Electrical and maintenance supplies
* General building-maintenance products
Must be reliable, organized, responsible, and comfortable working with customers and suppliers in a busy environment.
