Offered for sale is this vintage Elgin cattle de-horning tool. The exposed gearing makes this a bold displayable antique. On the casting is embossed in cast raised letters "Elgin" and "No.2" and " x2". Also is the text, "This side opposite head". Measuring 37" long this in terrific condition. There are several types of cattle or sheep de-horners and this is one of the visually most interesting and hard to find. Compare Elgin Dehorning tool on-line and buy locally with confidence. This primitive fits well with the agricultural roots of the area and on the other extreme - steampunk design.
