The Dock Attendant / Fuel Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, welcoming, and professional experience for all guests arriving at the restaurant by boat. This position serves as the first point of contact for waterfront guests and is responsible for assisting vessels with docking, providing fuel service, maintaining the dock area, and communicating guest arrivals with the restaurant's host and management teams.
This is a highly guest-facing position that requires strong communication skills, attention to safety, and the ability to remain organized and professional during busy service periods.
Essential Responsibilities
Guest Arrival & Docking
• Greet all arriving boaters promptly and professionally.
• Assist vessels with safely approaching and securing to the dock.
• Assist guests safely on and off vessels when appropriate.
• Keep dock entrances, walkways, stairs, and guest-access areas clear and safe.
Fuel Service
• Greet and assist all customers requesting fuel.
• Confirm the appropriate fuel type before beginning service.
• Monitor fueling continuously from start to finish.
• Never leave an active fuel pump unattended.
• Provide receipts and properly close out transactions.
