For sale here is a one owner 69 VW spent its first 25 years as a gasoline powered bug with auto transmission. Converted in 1994 to electric using only the components that were available at that time. Battery voltage is 90 volts, onboard charger 120 volt input, four-speed manual transmission, 18 horsepower continuous rated series DC motor with clutch. This motor is capable of making 500 ft bounds of torque. has 15 -- 6 volt batteries wired in series. Batteries are a year and a quarter old. Purchased at Costco as a group. 215 amp hours.Interstate brand. This is a really well done. Conversion batteries are enclosed. In vented boxes. Best range 50 miles.
