I’ve got a pair of brand new chains for SUV / Trucks designed to give improved steering & brake control in snow conditions & ice when fitted on the front tires and to make sure you don’t slide off the road and into the ditch, especially when you are alone and out of cell phone reception. They are “easy to to fit on the tire when alone” and have concerns , especially when in the backcountry in the winter when skiing, ice climbing, doing wildlife photography, etc. I’ve used one time and they not only worked great but gave me a comfortable feeling when I was alone and exploring up in the mountains last winter. I sold my vehicle and my new ones have a totally different tire size and will not fit my new rig.
The do fit following tire sizes: Truck / SUV 255/60R20 .. examples also that they would fit: 275/55R20 (Common on Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Ram 1500)
And 255/70R18 or 275/65R18 (Jeep
Wrangler, Toyota Tundra)
Originally the cost $480 which are expensive but b’ng by myself these were super easy to put on alone, came in a nice carrying case and had for security even if I just were to lay out if I’d gone in the ditch and got stuck for added grip instead of carrying YakTracs that were rather large. I put away after winter but once winter comes knocking at the door here in SW Montana these, a shovel get tossed back in my vehicle.
