I've had this for a few years. I drive for a living all over Florida and have always kept this in my car for emergencies. It paid for itself the first time I needed it and I've used it quite a few times over the years, both on my own car and helping others as well. It's such a great feeling to be prepared and be on your way in a couple minutes vs. the stress and inconvenience of the alternative when your car won't start with a dead battery. Florida heat is hard on batteries. I have 415k miles (and have been through quite a few batteries) on one of my work cars and in my experience you probably get around 3 years out of a car battery on a naturally aspirated car and I've seen batteries die within a year on a brand new turbocharged car because of the intense heat under the hood.

I did acquire this used. The first thing I did was measure the old battery and installed a brand new high quality motorcycle battery inside (I still have the receipt). Though it still charges and everything seems to work fine (I was still carrying this in my work car up until now), were it ME, I would install a brand new battery in it so I know it would be at it's best when you need it. Again, it seems to still be fine as is. Always charged periodically and kept on the floor behind the seat inside my air conditioned car which is garage kept. A brand new battery would cost half what an entire new jump starter would cost and you'll have a higher quality battery than what these come with new.

First REASONABLE offer takes it. I treated myself to a more modern lithium jump starter and hate to throw this away because there's nothing wrong with it and you can always just put a fresh battery in it. Compressor turn on fine too (I've never used it). Local pickup in Boynton is welcome. I do also drive all over South Florida for work so I may be able to meet up or even drop it off for you depending on my work route and obviously if we speak ahead of time.
