Experienced electronics engineer and teacher offering one-on-one tutoring via Zoom, FaceTime, etc. for adults and motivated teens.
Are you an electronics hobbyist, driveway auto mechanic, model car racer, or techie individual, who is untrained in electricity or electronics, and wants to learn basic electrical knowledge to build a special project or product, fix an electrical problem in your home, car, or hobby, learn how to use a multimeter, how to wire a doorbell, diagnose an electrical problem in your car or vehicle, or simply want to learn and understand the basics of electricity? Need help or an idea for a Science Fair project? Learn how to design and buy a custom printed circuit board, or read a schematic? I may be able to help you with targeted one-on-one instruction sessions, or provide advice on how to proceed on your own. ( Many who attempt to self-learn electrical principles are apt to wander into complex theoretical discussions, or stymied by so-called “essential” topics which seem unrelated to their motivating interests and curiosities.)
Have you watched the YouTube videos and are still left with questions about electrical principles of operation such as voltage, current, resistance, Ohms Law, basic troubleshooting, Arduino SBCs, automotive electrical systems, soldering and similar? You are not alone. The problems with these videos are numerous, but the biggest one is that you can’t stop the talking head to ask a simple question – that singular point of misunderstanding in a jam-packed, high-speed lesson that knocks you off the track for the remainder of the video. That’s one instance where one-on-one interaction comes to the rescue.

Sometimes it’s a single 15 minute lesson, others, a more thorough dive into your topic(s) of interest in multiple sessions. Other times, it’s a plan of action to take you forward to your specific goals, or one of my written lessons to study on your own schedule. No high pressure sales pitches or long-term subscriptions! Just simple, focused lessons, advice and answers.
