If you're unfamiliar: Rob Cosman is a professional furniture maker and teacher. After teaching thousands of students to cut dovetails by hand, he began to notice common problems and designed a saw to fix them. Rob's dovetail saw in particular is widely regarded as the best dovetail saw on the market.
Rob's dovetail saw has a thicker spine than most, adding weight and allowing you to feel when the saw is perpendicular much easier. The teeth are progressive: the first two inches are filed at 22 (TPI) and a 30 degree negative tooth rake. This allows you to effortlessly start a kerf. Once the kerf is established, transition to the back teeth to quickly remove the rest of the material. The set on the teeth is smaller than most at only 2 thousandths of an inch. This allows the saw to track better resulting in straighter cuts that are ready to go right off of the saw.
I also have various other Rob Cosman tools available, including everything needed to cut dovetails the Rob Cosman way (specialized marking knives, "Shawn Shim", marking gauges, dovetail marker, fret saw, etc.) Please see my other ads for more quality woodworking tools (Rob Cosman, Woodpeckers, WoodRiver, etc.). If you see this ad before the others go up, message me and I'll fill you in with everything that's available.
