The tabletop has a naturally deep grain. Some small cosmetic chips or light spots appeared in the depths of some of the grain during normal ownership, believed to be a finish issue. However it is cosmetic and applying some dark wood oil reduces their visibility, as shown in the photos. Otherwise excellent condition.

It is a solid and rather heavy table, but has casters underneath which make it easy to move about. Even with the casters, the bottom of the table will sit flush with carpet.
