I’m going to sell what was my dads most prized guitars. He was a traveling musician and he wrote and played many songs with this premium Yamaha.
1986 Yamaha FG-470S dreadnought.
Solid Spruce top, gorgeous figured Indian Rosewood back/sides, and beautiful abalone binding.
Excellent structural shape and sounds incredible. The glossy finish on the back of the neck was smoothly removed by my dad to make it a fast, comfortable satin feel. Internal paper label is gone, but authenticity stamps are perfectly visible on the inside neck block.
The neck is as straight as a guitar can have and the action is as low as humanly possible without having it buzz.
In the 80’s this was sold as a premium Yamaha guitar. At some point it was used in shows and had electronics in it.
From every source I’ve found, I’m priced very aggressively. Cash only, and can meet in Bothell.
