We are forming a completely volunteer-led community action group dedicated to discussing and designing local, grassroots solutions to the area's housing crisis.
Our immediate focus is putting our heads together to build a strong framework, vision, and pitch for an emergency local community shelter concept.
This is a strictly non-monetary, advocacy-focused volunteer group of neighbors helping neighbors.
We are looking for local community members who want to donate their passion, time, and skills to help build a realistic, actionable blueprint that we can present to established non-profits, city leaders, and existing community organizations.
We are looking for fellow neighbors to volunteer their insights in these areas:Researching existing community grants and non-profit pathways.
Drafting community advocacy concepts and outreach plans.
Sharing general knowledge regarding basic plumbing, contracting, or building code concepts to help shape a realistic framework.
General co-organization, spreading the word, and helping coordinate our local discussion meetups.
If you believe our community deserves safe, warm options for everyone and want to help build this grassroots advocacy movement from the ground up, please reach out.
Let's connect, share ideas, and work together to support our neighbors.
