Allow me to RIP YOU OFF!! This melon baller came over on the Mayflower and was owned and used by none other than Benjamin Franklin. In the 1920's it was acquired by Al Capone and became a part of his extensive melon baller collection. It was gifted to me by Al while we were vacationing in Hawaii. Unfortunately, all paperwork was lost in the great earthquake/fire of Seattle in 2019 so you'll just have to take my word for it.
