Thinking about starting a soul band. Not neo-soul, not r&b; that real, on your knees, covered in sweat, letting your heart bleed out on the stage soul. Otis, Sam Cooke, Al Green, Marvin, that sort of thing. Covers and originals. Looking for players from a punk/rock background who are sick of the phony posturing in the scene. Not trying to do some ironic, Me First type cover band. I just want players with intensity and stage presence. I can sing and play guitar or bass. Looking for at least a drummer, keys, and guitar/bass. Horn players absolutely welcome, but we could probably get this thing off the ground with a basic 4 piece lineup. Let me know. Figure out logistics later.
