I finally got my Aspen installed in my mooney, this D3 is an awesome piece of equipment. If you’re flying with steam gauges, I’d recommend it to anyone as a backup (that you’ll love) not to mention an added level of safety should something break! I mounted it with the Ram mounting bracket and tucked the wire under the dash below the windscreen, it charges while in flight and I never had less than 100% when shutting the plane down (no need to take home and charge up if you do this way)!
Sells new for $879-$899. This unit is still under manufacturers warranty and comes with all the paperwork as new, including the original boxes as well as every wire, connector, remote gps antenna (helps gps signal stay perfect in mountainous areas) even the original plastic pouches and packaging from new as shown in photos below!
These last less than a couple days used. I tried for 3 weeks to buy pre-owned when I purchased this one and not one was I able to get because by the time i made attempt to purchase they were sold!
So I bought new! And you save $200+ bucks depending on your tax rate would be if you were buying a new item from the store!
