We are a busy off premise catering company in Bogota NJ primarily serving university and private schools in NYC. In business since 1996, we have a well-established client base and a solid reputation for exceptional food quality and high standard of service.
We are seeking an experienced hands-on cold Kitchen Supervisor with exceptional skills to lead our cold kitchen in creation of creative sandwiches, salads, charcuterie and pastry grazing boards and cold entrees. The right candidate will be highly organized, passionate about food utilizing flavor profiles from around the globe while staying current with market trends. In partnership with our Executive Chef and hot kitchen Sous you will be responsible for oversight of food production, quality control, presentation and allergen and dietary restrictions, sanitation oversight and supervision of approx 4 people in the cold kitchen. We are looking for a detail oriented, strong team leader/team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and possesses strong knowledge of kitchen management and techniques and who wants to work as part of a great team.
Responsibilities and requirements include:
-Primary hours 5:00 am to 2:00 pm Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays. We are closed on most holidays.
-Culinary school degree not required but a plus and 2 years as a supervisor
-Excellent communication
-Willingness to work with a diverse team
-Implementing new and maintaining established kitchen systems to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations
-Assist Exec in managing a kitchen staff of 10 to 15 people
-Specialty and production cooking as needed, working side by side with Exec
-Collaborate with Exec, owners, GM and catering team to develop menus and execute multiple events throughout the day
-Experience with individually packed high end meals is ideal
-Proficiency in Spanish and English is required
