This is a "portable" tap dance practice floor. Purchased on Amazon for a child, who in reality did not really use this very much or for very long, you may be familiar with this phenomenon. It has been stored under a bed for several years.
It is printed vinyl tile in an oak hue. It gives a surface to practice tap dance without slipping that comes from home flooring and the damage that can cause. It is not a loud true tap as achieved on a stage or in a dance studio, but for at home practice it is pretty great.
Snap together panels, with a trim that goes all around to achieve a beveled edge.
This is in good condition and will need a little TLC to get it up and tapping. I have vacuumed most of the dust it accumulated as it was under a bed. It does have some of the oak part separating, but I think this is more from disuse and should re-stick or flatten pretty well. It may a few need some additional attention to secure the oak topping. They are still a little dusty, the edges where the adhesive is on the edge there is some persistent sticky dust. I am guessing a going over with some cleaner like pine sol or spic n span will clear it up, although when together this does not show. If I get some time, I am going to give this a try..I will report back when I am able.
This is a very heavy item, and takes a fair amount of work to put together. I say this as once you get it together, plan on it staying in that spot as it is only portable when it is disassembled.
As I worked to list this I was reminded to wear work gloves, and assemble and disassemble one at a time. Disassembly worked better from the back, pulling apart one by one.
Additionally is not easy to break down into smaller sections for transport. I found any time I took it apart I pretty much had to "rebuild" it from the start, adding one block at a time, there are 25 blocks and the beveled edges another 20 pieces.
I could not find this configuration still available, but it looks like you can still get components to expand the size or shape.
Each Panel is 12 x 12 inches
Total tap surface is 5 feet x 5 feet
Price is firm, cash only, I can meet in the Troy - Birmingham area, I cannot delivery beyond a meet up locally. If the listing is visible it is still available.
