Role Description The Security Officer is a part-time and contracted on-site role based in Bethlehem, PA. This role is responsible for maintaining a GUEST SERVICES minded, safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and property by monitoring entrances and public areas, conducting regular security patrols, and responding promptly to incidents or safety concerns. Daily tasks include enforcing safety and security policies, documenting and reporting incidents, assisting with emergency procedures, and collaborating with management and local authorities when needed. The Security Officer also supports guest services by providing directions, answering questions, and maintaining a professional, welcoming presence. This position requires flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with operations.
Qualifications
Experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field, with a strong focus on GUEST SERVICES, safety, and situational awareness.
Knowledge of basic security procedures, emergency response protocols, and incident reporting; prior hospitality security experience is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and external partners in a professional manner.
Ability to remain calm under pressure, de-escalate conflicts, and exercise sound judgment in fast-paced or stressful situations.
Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, patrol multiple floors, and respond quickly to emergencies in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail, with a commitment to guest service and maintaining confidentiality.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security training, relevant certifications, or CPR/First Aid certification are beneficial.
Must pass drug and background screening.
This is a part-time independent contractor position. Please not there are no benefits offered with this position. Rates are $18-$20/hr. depending on experience and availability. Holidays paid at time and a half.
Officers are required to supply and wear a white dress shirt, black pants, and all black sneakers or shoes. A uniform pullover will be provided. There are times when a black or gray suit will be required.
This role is seasonal and event driven. We are currently looking to fill multiple positions from November 15, 2026 to January 7, 2027. Successful officers may be offered work beyond that date.
