The position begins on 12/1/2026 with a possible three (3) year engagement
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and execute the Publications and Issuances Program within the Executive Secretariat.
• Oversee publication development, coordination, review, approval, dissemination, periodic review, and cancellation.
• Ensure compliance with DoD, DHA guidance and review publications for format, structure, clarity, and enforceability.
• Coordinate staffing and required legal, safety, clinical, administrative, and stakeholder reviews; track review cycles and enforce timely updates.
• Maintain the publications repository, version control, accessibility, archiving, and cancellation of obsolete/superseded materials.
• Develop templates, formatting standards, and guidance and provide training/direct support to directorates.
• Maintain centralized publication/issuance tracking and provide status updates, metrics, and trend analysis.
• Provide backup operational support across correspondence management, records management, and forms management during absences or surge operations.
Minimum / Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of executive-level administrative and management support experience within a federal-government or military environment, preferably supporting senior executives.
• Demonstrated experience managing official correspondence and task-tracking systems for a senior-level office.
• Experience interacting with senior officials such as SES, Flag Officers, GS-15 personnel, industry executives, and their staffs.
• Extensive knowledge of military command structure, missions, and organizational relationships within the Department of War.
• In-depth knowledge of government-administration regulations and policies, including DoW/DHA correspondence and records-management requirements.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to become proficient within 30 days in the government-provided correspondence-tracking database and Executive Secretariat SharePoint portal.
• Mastery of English grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, and executive-level drafting/editing.
• Superior written and oral communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within DoW, DHA, or Military Treatment Facility environments is preferred.
