We’re hiring an onsite Property Caretaker for a well-established manufactured housing community in the Bend area. This position is open to either a qualified individual or a two-person team and is best suited for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining a clean and attractive property, and can work independently.
This is primarily a maintenance, landscaping, and property upkeep position, with approximately 75% of the role focused on the physical condition of the community. Responsibilities include mowing and landscaping, maintaining common areas, minor repairs, painting, replacing and maintaining lighting, seasonal property upkeep, identifying maintenance needs, assisting vendors, and regularly inspecting the community to ensure it remains clean, safe, and well maintained.
The remaining 25% of the position provides onsite administrative support to the Property Manager. This includes posting notices, communicating routine information to residents, assisting with vendor access, documenting property conditions and maintenance issues, and providing regular reports and updates to the supervising management team.
This is not a traditional apartment maintenance position. Residents own and maintain their individual homes and homesites, so the caretaker's maintenance responsibilities are primarily focused on community-owned buildings, grounds, equipment, infrastructure, and common areas.
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, self-directed, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working outdoors. Candidates should have basic computer and smartphone skills and be able to communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and management. Prior maintenance, landscaping, construction, caretaker, or property management experience is helpful but not required. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
Housing is fully provided, including a double-wide home with an attached office, along with basic utilities and internet. Compensation ranges from $48,000 to $65,000 annually depending on experience, with mileage reimbursement and bonus opportunities available.
If you're looking for a stable, hands-on position where you can take ownership of the appearance and upkeep of a community and see the results of your work every day, we'd like to hear from you.
Please send a resume and a short introduction describing your maintenance, landscaping, repair, caretaker, or other relevant hands-on experience.
Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
