WE'RE LOOKING FOR MORE THAN SOMEONE WHO CAN NAIL UP SIDING. WE'RE LOOKING FOR CRAFTSMEN WHO UNDERSTAND THE ENTIRE EXTERIOR ENVELOPE.
Mountain Builders is expanding our crews and looking for experienced Siding Installers and Lead Siding Carpenters who understand that quality exterior construction starts long before the first piece of siding goes on.
We're looking for individuals who take pride in their work, understand proper installation techniques, and recognize the importance of weatherproofing, flashing, layout, and finishing details.
Our projects range from custom homes and residential construction to commercial buildings, shops, barns, remodels, and specialty projects throughout Central Oregon.
If you understand how to install an exterior system correctly ā from house wrap to the final piece of trim ā we want you on our team.
š ļø EXPERIENCE & SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We install virtually every type of siding and exterior cladding. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with multiple systems and understand the complete installation process.
ā Weather-Resistive Barriers (WRB) ā House wrap, building paper, weatherproofing systems, proper overlaps, sealing, and transitions
ā Window & Door Installation ā Proper setting, leveling, fastening, integration with WRB systems, and weatherproofing
ā Window & Door Flashing ā Sill pans, flashing tape, head flashing, drip caps, and correct flashing sequences
ā Siding Installation ā Fiber cement, LP SmartSide, wood, cedar, board-and-batten, lap siding, metal siding, panel systems, and specialty exterior finishes
ā Soffits & Fascia ā Framing preparation, layout, installation, venting, trim, and finished details
ā Exterior Trim & Finish Carpentry ā Window and door trim, corner boards, frieze boards, battens, transitions, and architectural details
ā Layout & Measurements ā Accurate layout, reveals, clean lines, consistent spacing, and professional finishes
ā Plan Reading & Specifications ā Ability to interpret construction drawings, manufacturer installation requirements, and project details
We place a high value on candidates who understand proper moisture management, drainage planes, flashing integration, and long-term building performance.

We're seeking skilled tradespeople who can produce quality work without needing someone looking over their shoulder every step of the way.
Experienced Siding Installers and Lead Installers
Strong understanding of exterior construction and weatherproofing
Ability to work safely on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms
Proficient with power tools, saws, nail guns, and specialty siding equipment
Able to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
Comfortable working independently or alongside a crew
Dependable, productive, and willing to take ownership of their work
Reliable transportation and personal hand tools
Willingness to work outdoors in Central Oregon's varying weather conditions
Experience with multiple siding products is a significant advantage. We're interested in well-rounded installers who can adapt to different materials and project requirements.
