Medical Director (MD/DO or NP): Activate Hydration, Bend, OR
Activate Hydration is an established, woman-owned mobile IV therapy and wellness company based in Bend, Oregon. Our licensed nurses bring hydration, vitamin, recovery and longevity medicine IV therapy to clients' homes, hotels, offices, and group events across Bend, Redmond, Sunriver, and Terrebonne.
We're 5-star rated on Google, and we've built our reputation on safe, personal, high-quality care. As we grow, we're looking for a Medical Director who shares that standard.
Position: Medical Director (Physician MD/DO or Nurse Practitioner)
Location: Bend, OR (Central Oregon) — local presence preferred but not required.
Type: Part-time / contract
Role overview:
The Medical Director provides clinical oversight for all IV therapy services at Activate Hydration. You'll oversee the protocols our nursing team follows, perform client chart review and be our clinical authority on safety and compliance working in conjunction with our owner and our pharmacist.
This is a flexible, part-time role. It's a good fit for a physician or nurse practitioner who wants to help shape a growing wellness business in Central Oregon.
Key responsibilities:
• Sign, and annually review standing orders and clinical protocols for all IV therapies, vitamin injections, and add-on treatments.
• Perform annual good-faith exams.
• Be available to nursing staff by phone or text during operating hours for clinical questions and escalations.
• Review 10% of charts on a regular schedule to ensure quality and protocol adherence.
• Advise on new services and menu offerings before launch and develop new orders.
Qualifications:
Required
• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Oregon medical license, or Nurse Practitioner with an active, unrestricted Oregon NP license and prescriptive authority.
• Active DEA registration in good standing.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience.
• Ability to maintain malpractice coverage appropriate to the role
Preferred
• Background in emergency medicine, urgent care, family medicine, or integrative/functional medicine.
• Experience and/or knowledge with IV therapy, infusion, or longevity wellness practices.
• Based in Central Oregon, or able to be on-site in Bend periodically
• Genuine interest in preventive care, longevity care and wellness, and supporting an entrepreneurial, woman-owned small business.
