Selling a like-new, excellent condition Garmin In Reach Explorer Plus handheld GPS/Compass/Satellite Communicator device.
Excellent, barely used condition unit. One smudge on part of the rubber on the side, mainly from holding it. Never dropped, always carried in a protective container on trips, or mounted in vehicle. Lightweight, compact, rechargeable with mini-USB cord, super easy to use...compass, maps, waypoints and other GPS features, as well as the primary reason...satellite connectivity for text messaging, weather updates, and emergency SOS rescue functions (all with a Garmin subscription service).
I've used this for about two years, pretty sparingly overall. Mainly for the SOS and text functions when out of cell phone range. It works great and I like that I can sync it via bluetooth to my phone which makes texting easier (with the phone keyboard) and using the Garmin iOS app for mapping/navigation and GPS functions. Lots of cool aftermarket mounting options for vehicle dashboards/handlebars as well.
I'd keep it--but I am switching to the smaller version. Only because I am going on a ultralight, thru-hike next summer and shaving every ounce I can, plus I changed up my motorcycle jacket set up and only have room for the smaller version.
