Mountain Sky, Inc. & Schilling's Garden Market are seeking a skilled and motivated Employee Experience & Communications Lead to join our team! This position's primary objective is to lead internal and external communications through meaningful employee engagement initiatives and effective customer marketing. This role develops strategic, cost-effective programs that strengthen brand visibility, customer relationships, workplace culture, and organizational growth for both companies.
DUTIES:
Employee Engagement & Retention
• Develop and implement internal communications and employee involvement strategies that strengthen company culture, employee connection, and morale.
• Lead employee recognition, milestone celebrations, team-building activities, and other programs that promote a positive and engaged workplace.
• Develop and administer employee surveys and feedback tools to measure engagement, identify opportunities for improvement, and inform organizational strategies.
• Partner with managers and other departments to identify employee needs, improve communication, and develop systems that support engagement and retention.
• Coordinate internal company events and community outreach campaigns that foster collaboration and connection.
Internal Operations & Administrative Support
• Coordinate employee onboarding and maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employment documentation and personnel records.
• Support benefits administration and employee status changes, including new hires, terminations, and other personnel updates.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for routine employee and applicant inquiries, ensuring timely communication and appropriate follow-through.
• Coordinate background checks and employee eligibility verifications, including motor vehicle records (MVR) checks and pre-employment drug screenings.
• Manage employee uniform and supply inventory, distribution, and reordering.
Content Development & Customer Relations
• Lead external marketing and communications initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, customer relationships, and overall organizational visibility.
• Create and manage content for websites, blogs, email campaigns, social media, and other marketing channels.
• Repurpose existing content into different formats, such as social posts, newsletters, videos, and downloadable resources.
• Stay current with content marketing, SEO, social media, and industry trends.
• Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across all content.
• Serve as a liaison between the organization, customers, employees, and the local community, building relationships and identifying opportunities for collaboration, outreach, and brand visibility.
• Assist in the planning and execution of events, classes, and promotional activities, including marketing efforts, vendor coordination, and participant engagement.

REQUIREMENTS:
• 2+ years of experience in employee engagement, HR, or organizational development.
• 1+ year of experience in content creation, copywriting, communications, or a related field.
• Willing to participate in a drug-free work environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with design and visual-content software such as Canva, Adobe Express, Figma, or similar platforms.
• Experience creating and coordinating marketing content, including social media, email campaigns, website copy, presentations, and promotional materials.
• Experience managing budgets, timelines, vendors, and external partners.
• Impeccable attention to detail.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, make data-informed decisions, and adapt strategies when needed.
• Ability to proactively analyze issues and implement corrective measures.
• Willing to work weekends as needed.
• Graphic design experience (preferred)
• Bilingual - Spanish and English (preferred)
