Way to Go Construction is looking for a hardworking, dependable laborer who has a positive attitude and is eager to learn. This is a hands-on position with exposure to many areas of construction, making it a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop a broad range of skills.

* Excavation and site work
* Underground utilities
* Septic systems
* Residential remodels
* New construction
* Concrete and foundation preparation
* General construction and labor tasks
* Occasional prevailing-wage projects
This position involves a wide variety of work. Applicants must be adaptable and willing to help wherever needed, including occasionally working in crawlspaces. Some days will involve excavation and utility work, while others may involve demolition, framing, concrete preparation, finish work, cleanup, or other remodel and new-construction tasks.
Responsibilities:
* Assist equipment operators and skilled tradespeople
* Perform excavation, utility, remodel, and new-construction labor
* Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools and materials
* Keep jobsites clean, safe, and productive
* Safely operate company pickups and pull equipment trailers
* Follow instructions while also using good judgment to solve problems
* Work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
* Complete physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently
Ideal candidate:
* Hardworking, reliable, and punctual
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Adaptable and comfortable performing many different types of work
* Good problem-solving skills
* Basic understanding of jobsite safety
* Comfortable pulling an equipment trailer behind a pickup
* Comfortable with occasional crawlspace work
* Able to work well independently and as part of a crew
* Construction or excavation experience is helpful but not necessarily required for the right person
Compensation and benefits:
* $20–$30 per hour, depending on experience and ability
* Opportunities to work on prevailing-wage projects, typically paying approximately $55–$65 per hour for qualifying hours
* Two weeks of paid time off per year, with accrual beginning after 90 days
* Opportunities to learn skills from multiple construction trades
* Potential for advancement as skills and responsibilities grow
