Position Details:
Position Type: Direct Hire
Location: Bellingham, WA
Pay: $35.04/hr
What You'll Do:
-Generate G-code programs for vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, 5-axis machines, and turning centers
-Create setup instructions within the ERP system for production teams
-Develop efficient and repeatable machining processes
-Optimize programs based on material type, machine capabilities, and tooling requirements
-Utilize machine technologies including probing systems, load monitoring, and tool breakage detection
-Create inspection plans based on customer and internal quality requirements
-Assist with first-run setups, troubleshooting, and employee training
-Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality
-Identify and document non-conforming products and assist with root cause analysis
-Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and company standards
-Maintain a clean and organized work area
What We're Looking For:
-High School Diploma or GED
-Minimum of 5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment
-Previous CNC programming experience
-Strong knowledge of G-code programming
-CAD/CAM experience in a manufacturing setting
-Strong understanding of machining techniques, tooling, and manufacturing processes
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
-Exceptional understanding of GD&T
-Experience with MRP/ERP systems
-Strong communication and problem-solving skills
-Knowledge of inspection equipment and quality control procedures
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills:
-3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC programming
-Turning center programming
-Process optimization
-Manufacturing troubleshooting
-Continuous improvement initiatives
-Advanced setup and production support
