This an older mac desktop with 29 in screen,4 usb ports, slot for SD card, and wired internet, wifi, bluetooth. Recently installed A fresh version of ubuntu 25 see: https://ubuntu.com/desktop to get the latest on the operating. it is a relative easy for windows users to become familiar with the system. It is free, includes a free equivalent of office 360. the vast majority of software. That can be loaded is also free and can be obtained with in the operating system. In general it does not need to be frequently updated and are free. If one registers with ubuntu they can notify you of updates. I originally installed ubuntu when the computer became incredibly slow after a mac operating system upgrade was installed. Since that time I have used ubuntu a on other computers and have found no more difficulty to master than windows.
Ubuntu offers essential applications for web browsing, messaging, gaming, and content creation, including Firefox, Chrome, Discord, Steam, and OBS Studio, supporting all your daily computing needs. Including LibreOffice which contains all the same functions as Office 360. Linux is used in many servers. A familiare with ubuntu will help with a career in IT.
