Men's Kahala Reverse Print Vtg Hawaiian Shirt Blue - $30 (Bellingham/Geneva area)

This is a vintage Kahala "Reverse Print" Hawaiian shirt. I purchased it on my first trip to Hawaii in the early 1980s. It is in excellent shape without any stains, tears or rips. The color is a pale blue with a peach and white lei pattern. It is short sleeve, matching chest pocket alignment with print and button down front. The tag says Kahala by HRH Hawaii, XL, 100% Cotton. I am starting to downsize items I no longer wear.

Kahala is famous for pioneering the "reverse print" aloha shirt. Artisans use the inside/back side of the fabric as the outside of the shirt. This creates a muted, soft, and vintage-looking watercolor effect.
