Looking for Cheesemaker for small goat dairy farm in Belgrade.
We produce a variety of cheese for distributors, restaurants, grocery stores and farmers markets.
A cheesemaker transforms milk into various cheese products by managing the production cycle, monitoring vats and cultures, and maintaining strict food safety standards. Key duties include pasteurizing milk, measuring ingredients, and regulating equipment temperature. Picking up milk from dairy twice/week and transferring it to the cheese facility.

Looking for Full time work, 30-40 hours/week.
Must have valid and clean drivers license.
Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods, work in wet or cold environments(cooler)
Basic math to calculate yields (with calculator) and follow written recipes.
Ability to wake up early for morning milk pickup and have reliable transportation.
Must be dependable and seeking long-term employment.
Core Responsibilities include:
Pick up: Drive milk truck to pickup raw milk from the farm, located 8 miles from the production facility.
This is done twice a week at 5:30 am on Mondays and 11:30 am on Wednesdays.
Process Operation: Monitor pasteurization, heating, and separation of curds and whey in large vats.
Recipe Control: Measure and add bacterial cultures, rennet, salt, and spices at precise times.
Quality Assurance: Check milk time and temperatures, testing and maintenance and record all data data on make sheets.
Sanitation: Clean and sterilize vats, equipment, and processing areas before and after every shift.
Training and licensing for milk pickup and testing.
Some days can be longer, when we make feta, it is a 10-12 hour day, that is typically only done 1-2x/month.
Some days are shorter, we finish around 2-3pm.
Otherwise, the schedule is based upon the time it takes to complete the cheesemaking cycle, typically ≤8 hours.
