This strikingly beautiful, tribal designed, SERAPI Oriental, is an exceptionally beautiful Antique rug that was hand-knotted in the 1930's in Turkey. The design style is known as SERAPI, after the tribal designs that this is characteristic of. It is in excellent condition, with no wear spots, low spots, repairs, or stains, and a full pile. The design detail on this rug is very impressive and commanding with the three large chocolate keystone elements running down the center of the rug. The exact size is 5.9x3.0.
This rich-looking SERAPI oriental rug is available for sale, because the City Lakes home we staged with it in, has now sold. (We take the rugs back after the staging house sells and offer them at a portion of their cost so we can reduce the initial staging fee.) you can see how this SERAPI has a rich, commanding, and exotic look to it, and understand the impact it can make in a beautifully staged upper bracket home.
This SERAPI was constructed of 100% virgin wool, woven into a cotton warp, and the woolen yarns were colored with vegetable dyes, for a richer look than the harsher looking/less expensive, chemical dyed rugs used on newer lesser quality rugs. This rug features 140 KPSI (knots per square inch), with a total of about 600,0000 knots, and it took about 800 hours of labor to hand-knot this piece. It is of excellent quality, consistent with what we would expect in a high quality Oriental rug.
This rug was selected for its beautiful and impressive design. This gorgeous SERAPI rug will be impressive anywhere you place it in your home. At retail this rug is priced in the $1200 range; JUST $475 here, since the staging fee already paid for the bulk of the cost of the rug. Email me, text me, or call me to view it. Thanks.
