The design style is known as a SERAPI. It is in excellent condition, with no wear spots, low spots, repairs, or stains, and a full pile.
This beautiful oriental rug is available, because the City Lakes home we staged it in, has now sold. (We take the rugs back after the staging house sells and offer them at a portion of their cost, to reduce the initial staging fee.)
This SERAPI, was constructed of 100% virgin wool, woven into a cotton warp, and the woolen yarns were colored with vegetable dyes.
This rug features a weave of 140 KPSI (knots per square inch). It is woven with excellent quality, and consistent with what we would expect in a very good quality Oriental rug.
