Mike the Mobile Mechanic proudly services all of Ocean County, New Jersey, offering reliable mobile auto repair backed by over 12 years of hands-on experience. No backyard BS — just honest, professional work done the right way.
I specialize in mobile repairs, but I also have a two-car garage located in Beachwood, NJ 08722 with an automotive lift and full access to my tools and equipment. For larger jobs, it may make more sense to bring the vehicle to my garage, especially if the vehicle is drivable and you are local.

Diagnostics
I charge a flat $100 diagnostic/service call fee to come out and properly inspect the vehicle. Whether it takes 10 minutes or several hours, the fee stays the same.
With newer vehicles, diagnosing problems can take time. Chasing electrical, mechanical, or drivability issues requires the proper process so the vehicle gets fixed right the first time.
If you already know exactly what part you want replaced and do not need a diagnosis, I do not charge the $100 diagnostic fee. However, if I did not diagnose the vehicle myself, I cannot guarantee that replacing that part will fix the issue.
Labor Pricing
My labor rate is $125 per hour.
I use ALLDATA, the same professional software used by many repair shops, to look up labor times based on the exact year, make, and model of the vehicle. Job pricing is generally based on those labor-time guidelines.
Currently only accepting payments after job is complete in cash or I can take Apple Pay but depending on the amount I have to charge between $5-$10 extra because Apple charges me to transfer the funds to my business account.

Roadside and Rush Jobs
If your vehicle is stuck on the road, I treat that as a rush job and safety concern. Depending on the situation, I can help get the vehicle towed off the roadway to your preferred location or to my garage if the job requires a lift or more equipment.
