11) Good job on the programming and demonstrating all the functions for me. Everything comes in great.
I learned more in 20 minutes with you than in hours of reading manual.
What I have seen many times people get frustrated as they have tried themselves or
had another program the radio for them, then come to me.
They are setup so they are listening to everything else, but the county they want!
I set it up so you get only the county radio traffic you selected to scan.
Another common item is very poor display text; I put everything in plain text so you know exactly who is talking.
Examples:
Theirs My programming text
239P911 Bay City Police
09P911 Bay County Police
09FT911 Bay County Fire
73COPD1 County Police
73CPD1 Saginaw Police
73F911 County Fire
These immediate areas I have, but any Michigan county can be programmed:

Common question: Will digital scanners receive non digital (analog) frequencies? Yes they do.
Will your current scanner work on digital?
A) If it can't get the 800 MHz frequencies - it won't decode 911 digital.
B) If you paid less than $200 brand new - It won't decode 911 digital.
C) If you paid at least $200 and it says trunktracker IV, V or P25, it will decode 911 digital.
D) If your radio models are any of these, it will decode 911 digital.
Uniden Models 396T, 396XT, 325P2, 996T, 996XT, 996P2, 436HP, 536HP, Home Patrol 1/2, SDS100, SDS200
Whistler WS1040, WS1065, WS1080, WS1088, WS1095. WS1098, TRX 1 & 2
Radio Shack Models Pro 96, Pro 2096, Pro 106, Pro 197, Pro 651, Pro 652, Pro 668, Pro 18
GRE Models PSR 500, PSR 600, PSR 800
E) Check these links to find out if yours can do so, check to see if it says P25, then it will decode 911 digital.
