Kettle Creek Pottery is looking for an experienced ceramic artist/instructor to join our growing community studio.
We are seeking someone with **5+ years of wheel-throwing and handbuilding experience** who is confident working independently in a busy community pottery studio and enjoys teaching adults of varying skill levels.
**Ideal candidate:**
* 5+ years of wheel-throwing and handbuilding experience
* Strong throwing skills and solid understanding of ceramic processes
* Comfortable teaching beginning through intermediate students
* Reliable, organized, and able to manage a classroom independently
* Friendly, encouraging teaching style
* Knowledge of glazing, clay preparation, studio cleanup, and general studio practices
* Able to demonstrate techniques clearly while allowing students to develop their own style
Teaching opportunities may include **multi-week wheel classes, handbuilding classes, workshops, private groups, and special events.**
Kettle Creek Pottery is a growing community pottery studio located on a historic property in the Poconos. We’re looking for someone who loves clay, enjoys working with people, and wants to become part of a creative and welcoming studio community.
