Betty’s back ground -
Born in 2015 in Minnesota at Rennpherd Stables. She was last raced at Canterbury Park September 3, 2020. She sold through the MN TB Association for $11,200, she then became part of the RRP TB Makeover. In June 2022 Betty was on the market in South Dakota where her trainer called her a “3’ jumping machine.” Selling for over 20 thousand dollars.
Now let’s talk about what Betty is looking for… she is a lot of horse, she needs a confident handler. She’s easy to catch, she’s very friendly, will stand forever to be groomed. Betty hasn’t been rode for several months now. She was a jumper and road English.
Her new career would be best suited as a trail horse, showmanship, and maybe 4H down the road after she has some time into her again. I have a video of the vet explaining her X-rays and treatment options. Our vet also reviewed the X-rays.
Betty will need maintaining to keep her comfortable… stretching and exercise to keep her muscle tone up. She was seeing the chiropractor as well.
Our vet recommends acupuncture, meso therapy, and shockwave to help maintain soundness for riding. The T12-T16 area is where the closeness is. She would be a candidate for surgery as well down the road if those other options were no longer helping her. That is something we would be happy to help the adopter with the cost of. That will be spelled out in her adoption contract.
She’s up to date on all cares. Vaccines, Coggins, float, and farrier. Good for the vet, little dancy with the farrier for her back feet.
