This is a Squier Classic Vibe Thinline Telecaster with a mahogany body and finish, white pearloid pickguard, alnico pickups, Modern C neck, and Medium Jumbo frets.
The current version of the Custom Vibe lineup tries to more faithfully reproduce the characteristics of the vintage Fenders from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. This guitar is from the previous “Classic Vibe” version (first released in 2010) before they were so hung up on "vintage," so despite being a bit older, it has some more modern features like a slightly slimmer neck and medium jumbo frets.
And since it's a thinline, it weighs only 6.6 lb. !!! I'll admit, it took me a little while to warm up to the aesthetics of the thinline series with the f-hole and the sweeping pickguard, but it grew on me - it's just different enough without being weird. The light weight just seals the deal.
It's got a minor ding on the lower horn, but is otherwise in great condition. It's got new strings. I did a set up on it recently, polished all the frets and filed down any sharp fret ends. It plays and sounds great.
