The Role We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee our home remodeling projects from pre-construction through final punch list. You will act as the central hub of communication between homeowners, our internal team, subcontractors, and vendors. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demands high-quality workmanship, and knows how to keep a project moving forward without compromising safety, compliance, or client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Project Management: Oversee multiple residential remodeling projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to our strict quality standards.
Permitting & Inspections: Pull all necessary building permits and be present on-site for all municipal building inspections to ensure successful sign-offs and code compliance.
Scheduling & Coordination: Create and manage detailed project schedules. Coordinate and dispatch internal crews and specialized subcontractors.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, providing regular progress updates, managing expectations, and navigating change orders professionally.
Site Management & Safety: Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality, ensure adherence to blueprints, and enforce strict job site safety and cleanliness.
Material & Budget Management: Oversee material take-offs, ordering, and delivery schedules to prevent delays. Track project expenses to maintain profitability.
Quality Assurance: Lead final walk-throughs and efficiently manage the completion of all punch-list items.
Qualifications
Required Experience: Proven project management experience specifically in residential construction, home building, or comprehensive remodeling.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of residential building methods, materials, construction sequencing, and local building codes.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately read and interpret architectural plans, structural drawings, and engineering specifications.
Leadership Skills: Strong track record of successfully managing subcontractors, holding trades accountable, and resolving on-site conflicts.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong focus on high-touch customer service.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with project management software and basic office applications.
