This is a picnic Trunk, which was manufactured by Landers Frary& Clark these were called Universal Motor Luncheon Sets. This set is # 462 and is their top-of-the-line set. It measures 36”x12 ½ “x8 ½ “ the weight is 45lbs. These would have been strapped to the running board of the car. Popular in the early century. This set looks as though it has never been used. Complete with keys.
It is equipped with:
2 no. 82 qt. Bottles
1 no. 800 Butter jar
2 2 jars for preserves, etc.
1 each salt and pepper shakers
1 cork screw
4 small metal wine cups
6 Plates, 6 drinking cups, 6 knives, 6 spoons, 6 forks 2 table spoons.
2 sets of keys
