Field ready full finger auger: Last year a center finger bent & broke enough of the cross auger to make it unusable. I bought a used head to finish up harvest which I am keeping as acre count grows every day. This spring I took the whole head to Schmidt Machine in Ohio (manufacturer of large diameter augers). They removed the auger & completely rebuilt it with; new center section that is laser straight & balanced, new crank throw in center, all crank bearings are new, fingers are a mix of poly & new steel. Field Tracker works fine, new reel bearings in 2025. 3 inch cut sections & guards are a mix of 50% to brand new. Auger drive chain has 9 hours on it. Single knife drive, came off 5130 combine with 540 PTO DRIIVE. I have not harvested with the rebuilt head but it runs very smooth (video available could not figure out how to post on CL). Finger timing is set per owners manual. Loading assistance can accommodate flatbed trailer 24 hours / day.
