I'm a headless guitar nut and wanted to see if there were any local guitar builders or luthiers that are willing to take on an interesting project.
This is an amateur guitar design from the now defunct "Building the Ergonomic Guitar" blog from over 15 years ago:

I've got the full size body plans/template on a PDF that's ready to print. The neck could be a standard 25.5" scale neck from Warmoth with a paddle headstock (that can be lopped off/shaped to anchor the string ball ends). The bridge and tuner system would be a standard tune-o-matic bridge that leads to some Steinberger gearless tuners on the butt end of the body.
I've commissioned a number of custom builds in the past and am comfortable with sourcing the woods and parts necessary for the build. I'd like to spend $1,500-1,999 total on the build. I've gotten some work done (on another headless guitar, actually) by the talented luthier Chris Forshage in the past, so no need to recommend him. He's a busy guy with a backlog of his own builds to deal with.
Feel free to send me an email or text, would love to collaborate with someone locally to bring this project to life! Thanks in advance.
