Versatile Drummer Seeking Right Opportunity (Austin)

Seasoned drummer firmly rooted in blues, jazz, rock and R&B with large stage experience backing country and Americana artists. I show up prepared, play in support of the song and am a fluent harmony and part-time lead singer when called to do so. While I have plenty of touring and recording experience with the tracks and YouTube material to back it up, talk is cheap while groove is rich. Boasting about oneself is kind of like overplaying: it isn't about me.
Since this is my post, however, my influences include but are not limited to John Bonham, Steve Gadd, Steve Jordan, Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, Don Henley, Levon Helm, Jim Riley and Chris McHugh.
I am not a metal, hardcore or punk guy. While I lean toward playing, recording and performing original music, I am certainly open to and enjoy playing covers...just not the same ones being butchered all over town on a weekly basis.
All I ask from you is a baseline level of musical fluency, a commitment to being prepared for rehearsals/shows and a desire to make great music during the time we have left on this planet.
