I have a pair of Gibson Acoustic guitars from the earlier half of the 20th century. Two lovely Gibson L4 12 fretters with the oval sound hole.
The first, from 1923 is a Lloyd Loar era model with the Virzi-Tone Producer that is quite loud and absolutely beautiful. Comes with original case. Slanted 'The Gibson' logo on the headstock and all original. Beefy neck.
The Second guitar is from 1928, or 1931 depending on which source you believe. The Gibson book states its from 1931, but the SN and FON and other online resources date it to 1928. This guitar has a slimmer neck profile and is easier to play, but quieter. In the right hands, though she's a cannon. This guitar comes with a non-original, but still older Lifton Case from the 1950s.
