I am looking for a reliable independent contractor based in the United States to perform basic device monitoring and connectivity checks from your own home office. This is a simple, part-time remote role - not employment - and is ideal for someone organized and comfortable with basic tech troubleshooting.
What you’ll do (specific tasks):
- Run daily connectivity and uptime tests on a small set of my device (I provide instructions).
- Report results to me via a simple online form or email.
- Perform basic troubleshooting if a device goes offline (e.g., restart, check cables, confirm internet status).
- Be available for occasional real-time check-ins with me via video call during U.S. business hours.
- Coordinate with me if a technical issue requires escalation.
What you need:
- Stable, reliable internet connection at home.
- Basic comfort with computers, routers, and common connectivity issues.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Responsible, responsive, and able to follow simple checklists.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident authorized to work as an independent contractor in the U.S.
What this is not:
- Not a full-time job.
- Not a business partnership or investment opportunity.
- No fees, no equipment purchases, no package forwarding - you will only be monitoring devices I remotely connect to your network via secure software (I will explain the process).
Compensation:
- $200/month flat fee, paid on a monthly basis.
- Long-term opportunity for the right person.
To apply:
Reply with a brief introduction about yourself, your city/state, your internet provider and speed (if known), and any experience you have with basic tech support or device management. I will respond to qualified candidates within 3 business days.
