This appears to be a customer return since a few things which were part of the original “bundle” are missing, although the first three are available at nominal cost on the PetSmart website:
• litter mat
• waste bin liners
• deodorizer cartridges
• filter cover*
*The PetSafe ScoopFree OpenSky Self-Cleaning Litter Box unit has two functionalities:
• automatically removes kitty poop into a sealed drawer, removing it from the still-usable litter (90% of the job, right?), and…
• when time comes for a complete litter refresh, it will also dump the entire contents.
A pierced filter inside the litter compartment accomplishes the first task, and a cover for that pierced filter enables the second one.
However, while the pierced filter is still here, the filter *cover* is missing, and PetSafe doesn’t sell a replacement.
Even so, we’ve tested it, and discovered that, when that complete litter replacement is needed, covering that pierced filter with a sheet of aluminum foil or plastic wrap gets the job done perfectly!
We also tested the overall functionality and everything works great, exactly as expected.
Even so, we will offer a four-hour guarantee so you can take it home and put it through its paces and, if it fails to function as described, return it within that four-hour window in the same condition you received it for a 100% cash refund!
